Police Make Arrest Following the Attempted Robbery of a Glen Burnie Popeyes


On December 18, 2019 at approximately 11:10 a.m., officers responded for report of a bomb threat at the Popeye's located at 7009 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie.

The suspect entered the restaurant, displayed a note indicating he had a bomb and demanded money from an employee. The employee did not comply and the suspect left the restaurant on foot towards Crain Hwy. An off-duty officer was in the area and located the suspect who was positively identified by the victim. 

A search of the suspect revealed he was not in possession of an explosive device. The suspect was arrested and transported to Northern District for processing.
