43 Year Old Man Flown to Shock Trauma Following Crash in Edgewater, Officials say

Yesterday, the Anne Arundel County Fire Department responded to an auto accident with a reported patient trapped in the area of Solomons Island Road and Poplar Point Road. 

Responders located a single-vehicle accident versus a tree with the driver severely trapped. 

Firefighters extricated the 43-year-old male driver in about 35 minutes. A Maryland State Police Medevac helicopter landed at Lee Airport to transport the patient to Shock Trauma in Baltimore with serious, but not believed life-threatening injuries.
