Judge Sentences Annapolis Man to 14 Days in Jail After Pleading Guilty to Possessing Child Pornography

Today, an Annapolis man was sentenced to 5 years with all but 14 days suspended during a hearing inside the Anne Arundel County Circuit Courthouse after pleading guilty to two counts of child porn possession. 

As the result of a joint investigation involving Homeland Security Investigations and the Maryland State Police, Eric Keith Withey, 49, of Cape Saint Claire Road in Annapolis, was arrested on May 28, 2019.  

He was charged with ten counts of possession of child pornography.  According to a State Police investigator, he pled guilty to two of the ten counts on November 26. 

Withey will also have to register as a sex offender for a period of 15 years, according to court records.
