Hanover Assault Suspect Arrested & Charged, Police Say



Police have arrested and charged a man from Baltimore in connection to an assault which occured in Hanover.

On January 24, 2020 at approximately 5:00 p.m., officers responded for an armed subject with a knife in the 1400 block of Dorsey road in Hanover.

 The 28 year old male victim and a 25 year old male suspect were engaged in a verbal dispute over where the victim had parked his vehicle. The suspect became agitated, grabbed the victim's phone and threw it to the ground, causing damage. The suspect then retrieved a folding knife from his vehicle and used it to threaten the victim with bodily harm. 

The victim was able to get away from the suspect and call for help. The suspect was arrested and transported to Western District for processing.

 No injuries were reported as a result of this incident. The knife was recovered.
