#Breaking Social Media Post Identifies Midshipman Who was Found Dead on Campus

A social media post earlier today identified the midshipman whose death was announced by the academy this morning.

Shortly after 8am this morning, the Naval Academy released the following statement:

"The Naval Academy is deeply saddened to confirm that a midshipman died last night after being found unresponsive in Bancroft Hall. The cause of death is being investigated; foul play is not suspected."

The age or name of the midshipman was not released. "

A review of public records indicate Forney was 22 years old, just a year older than the midshipman who died at the Academy earlier this month.

U.S. Naval Academy Midshipman 3rd Class (sophomore) Duke Carrillo, 21, of Flower Mound, Texas, died while taking the semi-annual physical readiness test, Feb. 8. The results of an autopsy are still pending, according to a Spokesperson for the Chief Medical Examiner's Office.

The Naval Academy has yet to comment on the social media post or provide any detailed information pertaining to the tragic loss.
