County Police Officer Suspended With Pay Amid Claim of Misconduct


A 6-month veteran with the Anne Arundel County Police has been suspended with pay following a claim of misconduct while on duty.

The officer in question responded to the Corridor Marketplace on Laurel-Ft. Meade Road around 10 p.m. on Saturday, November 2 for hundreds of people gathering on foot to watch vehicles perform racing type maneuvers in the parking lot. The officer pulled into the crowd and it is believed he struck at least one person with his vehicle, causing minor injuries. This incident is currently under investigation and the officer has been suspended with pay.
