Anne Arundel County Police Hosted Nearly 60 Kids For 2021 Youth Activities Program Baseball Camp

Chief Amal Awad and members of the Anne Arundel County Police Department held a baseball camp for about 58 children at Andover Park in Linthicum.

The camp was organized by the department's Youth Activities Program, and was made a success with the help of participating officers, community members and The Linthicum Ferndale Youth Athletic Association.

"We are grateful for the partnership with the LFYAA and their generous offer of use of their facilities to make the 2021 Youth Activities Program Baseball Camp successful," said Marc Limansky, a police department spokesperson.

The camp ended with a closing ceremony which involved the children being recongnized for their participation. The police department also gave a special shout-out to Holly Soto, a senior at Glen Burnie High School, who donated her time mentoring and teaching the youth.  Holly also donated several bats to the program.  She will soon be attending East Stroudsburg University on a softball scholarship.
