Thanksgiving Day Fire in Arnold Leaves Family Displaced

A family is displaced after a Thanksgiving Day fire damages their home in Arnold.

Firefighters responded to a 911 call reporting a dwelling fire in the 600 block of Bay Green Drive. First arriving units reported flames from the second-floor windows in the front and fire extending into the attic and through the roof. 

They located and extinguished a fire in a second-floor bedroom in about 20 minutes. Members of the Anne Arundel County Fire and Explosives Investigation Unit determined that the fire originated in the bedroom and the cause is undetermined at this time. 

Two adult occupants were not home at the time of the fire and are being assisted by the Red Cross. There were no injuries.
