Authorities Investigate Two Separate Overnight Stabbings in Glen Burnie

Authorities are investigating two separate stabbing incidents which occurred overnight in Glen Burnie.

At approximately 10:00 p.m., officers responded to the 200 block of Margate drive in Glen Burnie for a report of a stabbing. Upon the officer’s arrival the victim was located inside the residence suffering from stab wounds to the upper body. The victim stated he did not know who stabbed him and displayed behaviors consistent with indicators of narcotic use. He was transported to an area hospital and is in critical condition. A witness on scene was unable to provide any further information as to how the victim was injured. Additional officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate a suspect. 

At approximately 11:55 p.m., officers responded to Crain Highway at Main Avenue in Glen Burnie for a report of a shooting. Upon officers arrival they were able to locate the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. The victim stated that he was walking northbound on Crain Highway when he heard footsteps approaching from behind, he turned around and the suspect fired a round at him from a handgun. The suspect then fled. The victim was transported to an area hospital and is in critical but stable condition. Additional officers canvassed the area for possible suspect(s) but were unable to locate a suspect. This is believed to be a targeted incident and not a random act of violence.
