Police Investigates Ninth Recent Shooting as Gunfire Continues to Erupt in Annapolis

Local police are currently investigating the ninth shots fired incident that has occured in Annapolis recently. 

On November 23, 2021, at approximately 2:20am, officers responded to the 700 block of Newtowne Drive for the report of shots being fired. Upon arrival, evidence consistent with shots being fired was located. 

The evidence was collected and turned in for processing, and no victims or suspects were found. 

Between Wednesday, November 3, 2021, and Saturday, November 21, 2021, the Annapolis Police Department responded to eight individual shootings and a total of 3 people were injured. Five people have been killed so far in Annapolis this year.
