Two Individuals Face Criminal Charges Following Alleged Drug, Gun Seizure in Glen Burnie, County Police Say

Two individuals were arrested, and a significant quantity of illegal drugs, ammunition, and a rifle were allegedly seized during a reported narcotics raid in Glen Burnie, the Anne Arundel County Police Department stated in a press release.

According to the press release, on September 24, 2025, detectives from the Eastern and Northern District Strategic Patrol Teams executed a search and seizure warrant at a residence in the 400 block of Mainview Court. Department officials said this action was part of an ongoing narcotics investigation. Before entering the premises, detectives observed a suspected drug transaction between the main suspect and a female outside the residence, leading to both individuals being taken into custody, the police department allege. 

The police department report that following the arrests, approximately 88 pills of suspected Oxycodone were recovered from the suspects. A subsequent search of the home allegedly yielded additional suspected drugs, a weapon, and various ammunition. Items seized during the operation reportedly included:

1 Hanover Armory AR-15 .556 semi-automatic rifle

 Approximately 3.82 pounds of suspected cannabis

Around 40.11 grams of suspected psilocybin mushrooms

1 digital scale

 Multiple rounds of ammunition:

 37 rounds of 9mm

  34 rounds of .44 caliber

    8 rounds of .556 caliber

    4 rounds of .40 caliber

    1 round of .22 caliber

$483 in U.S. currency

The individuals arrested, who remain innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, were identified by the police department as as:

Jhi Mikal Colbert, 26, of Glen Burnie

Jewel Desiree Waterstraat, 27, of Baltimore

Both individuals were taken into custody at the scene and are facing multiple charges related to the alleged possession and distribution of controlled substances, as well as weapons violations.
