City of Annapolis to Host Free Legal Services and Overdose Prevention Awareness Workshop

The City of Annapolis has announced plan to host a free community event offering legal help, job training resources, and a powerful workshop on overdose prevention.

The event, hosted by the Mayor’s Office NapTown Anti-Dope Move(meant) (N.A.M.), in partnership with Community Legal Services and the Maryland Department of Labor, will take place on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Michael E. Busch Annapolis Library (1414 West Street).

Attendees will have the chance to meet directly with:

Legal experts for one-on-one consultations and help with filing petitions

Workforce specialists to sign up for job training and career advancement programs

Community service providers offering support with job placement, education, mental health, substance use treatment, utility and rental assistance, and more

One of the highlights of the evening will be an in-person overdose prevention workshop led by N.A.M. The session will provide vital information on how to recognize and respond to an overdose, as well as ways to help prevent opioid-related deaths in the community.

The workshop aims to raise awareness about the opioid crisis and equip Annapolis residents with the tools they need to take action and save lives.

Parking is available on-site. The event is free and open to the public.
