Annapolis Woman Charged with Murder While Already Awaiting Trial on Murder Charge in Separate Homicide Case

Authorities today announced charges against Monet Felicia Thompson, an Annapolis resident who has been charged in connection with a second homicide. Ms. Thompson, 50, was already awaiting trial for the murder of Allison Faye McIntyre and has now also been charged with the murder of Mr. John Logan Thomas III.

The charge related to Mr. Thomas stems from an incident on September 26, 2024, at approximately 7:40 p.m. Annapolis Police responded to a report of three shots fired in an apartment building in the 100 block of Georgetown Road. Witnesses observed a man and woman swiftly leaving the area after the gunshots, and a blue SUV was seen departing the scene. Officers were directed to an apartment associated with Ms. Thompson. Upon failing to make contact, they entered the unlocked apartment and discovered Mr. John Thomas Logan III deceased on the living room floor, with an apparent gunshot wound to the back of his head and blood spatter. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Annapolis Fire Department.

In a separate incident on October 3, 2024, Annapolis Police were dispatched to a homicide scene in the 1700 block of Forest Drive. The victim, Allison Faye McIntyre, 59, was fatally shot in her vehicle within the parking lot. The Annapolis Police Department initiated an investigation, identifying a suspect vehicle described as a blue Toyota Camry with Maryland license plates. Further inquiry led to Ms. Thompson being identified as a person of interest, and an arrest warrant was subsequently issued for her.

Ms. Thompson remains held on a no bond status at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center.
