Annapolis Police Honor Guard Joined National Tribute to Honor Fallen Officers in Red Lion, Pennsylvania
The Annapolis Police Department's Honor Guard recently traveled to Red Lion, Pennsylvania, to participate in a national tribute honoring three Northern York County detectives who lost their lives in the line of duty.
The tribute, held in Red Lion on September 17, recognized Detective Sergeant Cody Becker, Detective Mark Baker, and Detective Isaiah Emenheiser, all of whom were ambushed while executing a warrant related to a stalking suspect.
The Annapolis Police Honor Guard joined dozens of law enforcement entities from across the region at the ceremony, contributing to a coordinated display of respect that transcended geographic boundaries. The presence of out-of-state honor guards underscores the bond shared among law enforcement agencies in remembrance of those who make the ultimate sacrifice.
During the service, participating honor guards took part in flag presentations, ceremonial salutes, and a combined procession toward Living Word Community Church in Red Lion, where the service was held.
In a statement shared via social media, the Annapolis Police Department explained that their Honor Guard's participation was intended to reaffirm a key principle: that the loss of an officer is felt across all communities, not just the one in which they served. The department emphasized that paying tribute in this way strengthens the bonds between agencies, supports the families left behind, and reinforces the message that public servants are never forgotten.
