Severna Park Resident Dave Crawford Enters Race for Anne Arundel County Executive, Pledges Focus on Safety, Economy, and Seniors

Severna Park resident Dave Crawford, a longtime firefighter and business leader, has announced his candidacy for Anne Arundel County Executive. He says he’s running to “make our county a safe place where families thrive, businesses grow, and seniors feel supported again.”

Crawford brings decades of experience in food service sales and public service. “I’ve spent 40 years working with small business owners and over 35 years as a volunteer firefighter,” he says. “I understand what it means to serve and to lead.”

Currently serving as Chief of the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company, Crawford emphasizes his deep roots in the community. “My wife Lori is a retired county schoolteacher. We’ve raised our family here. This is home,” he shares.

Mr. Crawford's campaign focuses on five core priorities: supporting small businesses, securing schools, protecting taxpayers, addressing housing affordability, and expanding support for seniors. “We pledge to steward your investments wisely toward our common vision of a safer, freer, and more prosperous Anne Arundel County,” Crawford says.

According to the Anne Arundel County government, voters will elect a new County Executive in the general election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 following the primary election on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.
