The Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County (CFAAC) has announced John Rodenhausen as its new President and CEO, effective November 1, 2025. He will succeed Mary Spencer, who is retiring on October 31.
Mr. Rodenhausen joined CFAAC in 2023 as Director of Gift Planning. During his tenure, he has significantly contributed to the foundation's growth, including the establishment of 71 new funds and $18 million in planned gift commitments.
"I am honored to accept this position and look forward to working with the community to make Anne Arundel County a better place for all," said Rodenhausen.
Mary Spencer, who has led CFAAC for several years, expressed confidence in the board's decision: "John knows this organization’s goals, strategic direction, and heartbeat. He has built strong relationships with donors and nonprofits and is deeply committed to the people of Anne Arundel County."
With over 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Mr. Rodenhausen brings extensive expertise in fundraising and community engagement. He previously worked at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and holds the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) designation.
Rodenhausen also acknowledged Spencer's contributions, stating, "Mary Spencer’s leadership will leave a lasting legacy. I’m thankful for her dedication and will continue building on the strong foundation she helped create."
A resident of Anne Arundel County, Mr. Rodenhausen has been actively involved in the local community since 1993.
