Crofton Police Chief Announces Unveiling of New Cruiser, Highlights Plan to Increase Visibility

Crofton Police Chief Jason Jett today released a statement related to community concerns about police visibility. In the statement, Chief Jett noted that residents frequently express a desire to see more officers patrolling neighborhoods, stating, "Visibility not only deters crime but assures residents that we are performing our required duties."

Chief Jett also shared that upon joining the Crofton Police Department, he observed a fleet of three unmarked cars and two marked patrol cars, a distribution he intends to change. His goal is to phase out all but one unmarked police vehicle to enhance visibility.

Additionally, Chief Jett announced the latest addition to their fleet: a Police Pursuit Ford F-150. He mentioned that a few modifications are still needed, but the vehicle is expected to be seen in the community in the coming weeks.
