An Annapolis woman is facing charges after police investigators looked into suspected prostitution at a massage parlor in Edgewater.

In a press release on March 28, the Anne Arundel County Police Department said authorities received information regarding possible prostitution activity at Oriental Massage located at 3143 Solomon’s Island Road.  The release said detectives initiated an investigation, which resulted in charges of prostitution and performing massage therapy without a license against one employee, Nian Chen, 54, of King Annapolis.

Additionally, department officials said charges of an attempted 4th-degree sex offense and performing massage therapy without a license were issued against a second employee, Meifang Shi, 61, of Flushing, NY.

Court dates have yet to be scheduled in the case against Chen and Shi, online records show.
