Family of Eight Displaced Following Single Alarm Home Fire on Thomas Road in Severna Park

A family of eight has been displaced after their Severna Park home was damaged in a single alarm dwelling fire. 

Shortly after 4pm yesterday, firefighters responded to a 911 call from the occupants of 331 Thomas Road for a reported fire in the living room. First arriving units reported smoke coming from all sides of the home. First responders located and extinguished a fire in the living room area, containing most of the fire to the room of origin. 

The Red Cross is assisting the eight occupants displaced as a result of the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation by members of the Anne Arundel County Fire and Explosives Investigation Unit. There were no reported injuries.
