Case of Scratch-Offs Stolen From 7-11 Store, County Police Say

A 7-11 store employee was involved in a commercial robbery before the suspect left the store with a case of scratch-off lottery tickets, county police said today. 

On December 28, 2020 at approximately 8:30 a.m., officers responded to the 7-Eleven store located at 3393 Laurel-Fort Meade Road in Laurel for a report of a robbery.  Upon arrival, the victim advised that the suspect walked behind the counter, implied he had a handgun and threatened the clerk. No weapon was displayed, but the clerk complied out of fear. The suspect proceeded to steal an undetermined amount of scratch-off lottery tickets from under the counter and left the store, walking westbound on Route 198. 

Suspect was described as a black male, 25-30 YOA, 6'0, thin build, short black hair, wearing black jacket and gray sweatpants. 

Multiple officers canvassed the area with negative results. The victim was not injured in this incident. The Criminal Investigation Division is investigating and asks anyone with information to call 410-222-8720 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700.
