Police Announce Multiple Arrests Following Investigation into Shooting of Innocent Bystander Near Arundel Mills Mall
The Anne Arundel County Police Department recently announced several arrests concerning a shooting incident near Arundel Mills Mall, in which an innocent bystander was injured. This announcement provides significant updates on a case that has been under investigation.
On Friday, June 20, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to a reported shooting near Arundel Mills Boulevard and Arundel Way in Hanover. Upon their arrival, they discovered several vehicles damaged by gunfire and a 21-year-old female who had sustained a non-life-threatening upper body injury. She was subsequently transported to a local hospital for medical attention. The preliminary investigation indicated that an exchange of gunfire occurred between two vehicles, resulting in the victim being caught in the crossfire. Both vehicles involved in the incident departed the scene prior to the arrival of law enforcement, the statement said.
According to the police department, surveillance footage, ultimately led to the identification of a suspect vehicle in Meade Village. Documents allege that following the securement of this unoccupied vehicle, detectives conducted search warrants, leading to the seizure of firearms, 5,828 grams of suspected cannabis, and approximately 31 grams of suspected PCP., and $5,600 in currency. The police department confirmed the arrest of multiple individuals in connection with this incident, including a 15-year-old resident of Severn, along with Jermaine Anthony Ricks, 39, of Severn; Drameek Carlius Wallace, 25, of Glen Burnie; and Davon Antoine Hughes, 27, of Glen Burnie.
