Community Mourns Loss of Brave Father Who Gave His Life to Save Family in Devastating Glen Burnie House Fire

A Glen Burnie man is being remembered for his heroic and selfless actions after he died saving his family during a recent house fire.

According to an online profile, funds are being raised for funeral expenses of Julián Teletor Primero, who passed away on July 6, 2025, in a tragic fire at his home. "Julián gave his life in an act of bravery and unconditional love, returning to the burning house to save his large family. He managed to rescue everyone, but he didn't make it out."

At approximately 3:30 AM on July 6, 2025, units from the Anne Arundel County Fire Department responded to the reported fire at 1112 Crain Highway North, and found active flames upon arrival, according to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department statement. Julian Primero was removed from the dwelling and pronounced deceased. Additionally, one pediatric patient was transported to Johns Hopkins for smoke inhalation, and three firefighters received treatment at the hospital for minor burns. One additional adult occupant was transported to a nearby hospital also for treatment.

According to an obituary, the life and legacy of Mr. Primero will be celebrated during a service in Curtis Bay on Monday, July 14.
