Annapolis Police Department Honors Officer for Expedient Response Supporting State Trooper Aviation Team's Transportation of Patient with Self-Inflicted Injury
The Annapolis Police Department is recognizing an officer who demonstrated exceptional dedication in May while assisting an aviation team in treating a patient with self-inflicted injuries.
Officer Logan responded to a severe traffic accident where an adult male attempted to take his own life by stepping in front of a moving vehicle. Officer Logan collaborated with Maryland State Police MEDEVAC personnel, applying life-saving techniques and facilitating the air medical transport operation to UM Shock Trauma. Aviation supervisors commended Officer Logan's professionalism and life-saving techniques, acknowledging them with a letter of appreciation, the police department stated. In a statement, Department officials said Officer Logan's actions demonstrate the highest standards of law enforcement, earning recognition for ensuring a safe outcome in a high-risk scenario.
