Family of Woman Killed in Galesville Crash Receives Outpouring of Community Support

The community has expressed immense support for the family of Patricia Warren, a 61-year-old woman from Shady Side who tragically passed away after a recent accident in Galesville.

A GoFundMe profile indicates that Ms. Warren's family would be grateful for any contributions to help honor her memory, with funds allocated towards a memorial service and burial expenses. The profile describes her as "Beloved mother, sister, aunt, and daughter Patricia “Patti” Warren passed away suddenly on July 12, 2025 in a car accident." 36 donations had been made as of 6pm on July 16, 2025.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department reported that on July 12, 2025, at approximately 12:14 p.m., officers responded to a motor vehicle crash at Muddy Creek Road and Old Sudley Road in Galesville. The preliminary investigation suggests that a Toyota Prius, traveling northbound on Muddy Creek Road, crossed the double yellow line and collided head-on with a southbound Chevrolet Silverado. The Anne Arundel County Fire Department was on the scene and pronounced Ms. Warren, the driver of the Toyota, deceased.

The date of the memorial service will be determined at a later time.To learn more about the fundraiser, go to: Support for the Family of Patricia Warren

The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
