Craig Cussimanio Enters Race for Ward 6 Alderman in City of Annapolis
Craig Cussimanio has announced his candidacy for Annapolis City Ward 6 Alderman, prioritizing safety, affordability, and unity for all residents. Ward 6, a predominantly residential area stretching from President Street in Eastport through the Tyler Avenue corridor and into Robinwood, is a diverse community whose voices deserve to be heard.
Mr. Cussimanio stated, "I have always known that my experiences in Annapolis have been very different from many of my neighbors in Ward 6. Through my volunteerism over the last five years, visiting residents in their homes across the city, the stark contrast has become even clearer. I have the commitment, focus, and resources to be a strong advocate for the residents of Ward 6. Our voices matter. All of them." As Alderman, he will focus on safety and affordability, crucial for residents' quality of life, and will support community-building efforts while working to unite the communities of Ward 6.
Mr. Cussimanio is a 54-year-old stay-at-home father who has resided in Annapolis for decades. He previously worked in technology and digital communications and holds a Bachelor's degree in criminology and criminal justice from the University of Maryland, College Park. He is married to Kate Wagner, an Annapolis native, and they have two college-aged children, William and Emily. The Cussimanio family resides on President Street in Eastport and is proud to be part of the Ward 6 community.
