Authorities Suspend Search in Shenandoah National Park, Virginia, Following Discovery of Deceased Male, Robert Bieri of Severna Park

Shenandoah National Park in Luray, Virginia, has suspended an investigation into the disappearance of Robert Bieri, 61, of Severna Park. Search teams discovered Mr. Bieri's body near Lewis Falls at 12:13 p.m. on Monday, July 7, 2025. 

According to park officials, Bieri was reported missing on Saturday, July 5, 2025. He was last seen off-trail near Lewis Falls, an announcement by the National Park Traveler said. A full-scale search operation was launched by Shenandoah National Park on the evening of July 5, 2025.
