Glen Burnie Structure Fire on Crain Highway Results in One Fatality, Leaves Multiple Firefighters Injured
An early morning structure fire in Glen Burnie resulted in one fatality and several firefighter injuries.
At approximately 3:30 AM today, units from the Anne Arundel County Fire Department responded to the reported fire at 1112 Crain Highway North, and found active flames upon arrival. An unidentified adult male was removed from the dwelling and pronounced deceased. Additionally, one pediatric patient was transported to Johns Hopkins for smoke inhalation, and three firefighters received treatment at the hospital for minor burns. One additional adult occupant was transported to a nearby hospital also for treatment.
The Anne Arundel County Fire & Explosives Investigation Unit is currently investigating the cause of the fire. The Red Cross and Mobile Crisis are providing assistance to those affected.
