Handgun, Nearly $6K in Cash, Suspected Drugs Recovered from Vehicle in Severn, Police Say

Anne Arundel County Police officers recovered a handgun, nearly $6,000 in cash and suspected drugs from a vehicle in Severn before placing the driver under arrest, officials said today.  

On September 14, 2020 at approximately 10:20 p.m. a Western District officer observed a suspicious vehicle while on routine patrol in the 8100 block of Meade Village Road in Severn. An occupied silver 2004 Infiniti SUV had remained stationary for an extended period of time in an area known for CDS distribution. The officer approached the vehicle and noticed an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. 

Further investigation led to a search of the vehicle which resulted in the recovery of a loaded S&W-M9 9mm handgun, two digital scales, drug packaging materials, $5,702.00 U.S. Currency, 92.22 grams of suspected marijuana, and 4.13 grams of suspected cocaine. 

The driver, Drameek Carlius Wallace, 21, was arrested and charged accordingly.
