Anne Arundel County Police Department Seeks Help Investigating Glen Burnie Hit and Run Crash

The Anne Arundel County Police Department today announced their investigators are seeking help with solving a hit and run accident which left a dirt bike operator seriously injured.

On August 3, 2025, around 7:15 p.m., law enforcement officers from the Northern District responded to a hit-and-run collision on Crain Highway near Main Avenue SW in Glen Burnie. Upon arrival, they immediately contacted the Crash Reconstruction Team due to the serious nature of the injuries sustained in the crash.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a Honda 125R dirt bike traveling southbound on Crain Highway was weaving in and out of traffic and disregarding traffic signals. The dirt bike then entered the shared turn lane, where a gold or brown/tan-colored minivan, also traveling southbound, attempted a U-turn to head northbound and subsequently collided with the dirt bike. Following the collision, the minivan driver fled the scene without stopping or providing assistance to the dirt bike operator.

The operator of the dirt bike, who was not wearing a helmet or any protective gear, sustained potentially life-threatening injuries and was transported to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center for medical treatment.

The Crash Reconstruction Team is actively investigating the incident and encourages anyone with information to contact 410-222-8610.
