Meade High School Celebrates Start of First School Year After Renovations with Visit from Governor Wes Moore

Meade High School marked its inaugural academic year in a newly renovated building, with a visit from Maryland Governor Wes Moore, resulting in heightened excitement and anticipation among students and faculty.

Yesterday, Governor Moore visited Meade High School to interact with students and observe the school's exceptional programs. The visit included lunch with randomly selected students, where he ate tacos, potato chips, and salad from the cafeteria. Governor Moore expressed his excitement for the students, stating that he wanted to witness firsthand what others had been praising about them. 
Governor Wes Moore and other officials also toured the school's recently completed renovations and highlighted their academic achievements. Key activities during the tour included: Visiting unique classes such as the Homeland Security program, International Baccalaureate (IB), and Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID), and eating lunch with randomly selected students in the cafeteria.
