Prayer Vigil Planned Following Double Shooting on Newtowne Drive in Annapolis

Bishop Charles Carroll, of New Creations Deliverance Ministries in Annapolis, is holding a prayer vigil after two men were shot on Newtowne Drive this weekend.

"Please, join me for a prayer vigil at Woodside. Enough is enough. Please, let us not stand by and watch our people kill each other," Bishop Carroll said in a social media post. The vigil is expected to take place on Monday, August 11, 2025, starting at 6pm, according to the published flyer.

On Saturday August 9, 2025, police arrived at the scene in the 700 block around 9:30 pm and found the victims, approximately aged 40 and 36, with gunshot wounds. They were subsequently transported to a hospital by helicopter.

Additional details were not immediately available.
