Annapolis Professional Fire Fighters Endorses Keanuú Smith-Brown for Annapolis City Council, Ward 3

The Annapolis Professional Firefighters, IAFF Local 1926, announced its endorsement of Keanuú Smith-Brown for Annapolis City Council, Ward 3, emphasizing their confidence in Smith-Brown's ability to help make Annapolis a stronger, safer, better city for all.

Representing over 120 members, the Annapolis Professional Firefighters, IAFF Local 1926, led by President Joe Pilat, cited Smith-Brown’s “commitment to public safety, working families, and the essential role that city employees play in keeping Annapolis safe, healthy, and thriving.”

Highlighting Smith-Brown’s thoughtful approach to city governance and support for the men and women of the Annapolis Fire Department, the local said, “We believe you will be a strong advocate for both our members and the residents of Annapolis. You have listened to our concerns, stood up for our values, and earned our trust.”

“I am truly honored to receive your endorsement and am grateful for the trust you have placed in me to serve as our next Alderman of Ward 3 on the Annapolis City Council!” Smith-Brown said. “Understanding the impact and value of your contributions, I am evermore committed to being an unwavering advocate for IAFF Local 1926 members and Annapolis residents, emphasizing investments in public safety and enhanced emergency services.”

The Annapolis Professional Firefighters’ endorsement of Keanuú follows dozens of elected officials and community/business leaders, including County Executive Steuart Pittman, County Councilwoman Lisa Rodvien, Senator Shaneka Henson, seven sitting members of the Annapolis City Council, five members of the County Board of Education, the Teachers Association of Anne Arundel County, and many others.
