Ward 2 Residents Outraged Over Sudden Parking Restrictions in the Old 4th Ward's Clay Street Community
Beginning Sunday, October 12, 2025, parking along Clay Street will be restricted for 10 hours daily over a period of nearly five months, according to signage posted under the authority of the Annapolis Police Department shortly after 4 p.m. on Friday, October 10.
The short notice has drawn strong reactions from residents who say the extended restriction will create major hardships.
“Where are the residents of Clay Street who telework, work nights, or are disabled supposed to park for the next five months?” one resident wrote on social media.
Neither the Annapolis Police Department, the Mayor’s Office, nor Alderwoman Karma O’Neil were immediately available for comment.
