Crowd Kicks Off National Faith & Blue Weekend with Annapolis Police Department at Historic First Baptist Church

An energetic crowd welcomed members of the Annapolis Police Department at the Historic First Baptist Church in Annapolis last night. This was the first of two events planned in the area for MovementForward's National Faith & Blue Weekend. 

A community festival at the Pip Moyer Rec Center is scheduled to take place on Sunday October 12th from 1pm-5pm.

"Faith & Blue was launched to facilitate safer, stronger, more just and unified communities by directly enabling local partnerships among law enforcement professionals, residents, businesses and community groups through the connections of local faith-based organizations," the MovementForward website said. "MovementForward, Inc. is a modern, inclusive social change organization working to protect, promote, and advance the civil and human rights of all people."
