County Police Renew Plea for Information in Killing of Mother, Nurse from Glen Burnie

One year after the tragic murder of 30-year-old nurse and mother Natasha Renee Harris, Anne Arundel County Police detectives are renewing their plea for information that could help bring her killer to justice.

On October 29, 2024, officers responded to a report of gunfire in the 200 block of Snowcap Court in Glen Burnie around 7:40 p.m. When they arrived, they found Harris suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in a parking lot. Officers rendered aid before she was transported to the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead.

In a February update, police said they believe the shooting was targeted and occurred as Harris was leaving her parents’ apartment. Despite extensive investigative work, no arrests have been made.

“This case remains deeply personal for our detectives,” a department spokesperson said. “Natasha was a beloved daughter, mother, and healthcare worker whose life was senselessly taken. We are asking anyone with information — no matter how small it may seem — to come forward.”

Police continue to urge anyone with information — however minor — to come forward and help bring closure to Natasha Harris’s family and justice in her memory.

According to an obituary, Natasha's lifelong passion for nurturing others led her to a remarkable career caring for women and children, leaving an indelible mark on her community through her compassionate work at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. A diligent scholar, she pursued her dreams with perseverance, earning nursing degrees from Anne Arundel Community College and the University of Maryland, and working towards her master's as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. Natasha's boundless kindness, love for her family, and generous spirit continue to inspire hope and positivity, even in her final act of selflessness as a tissue donor with Infinite Legacy.
