Annapolis Police Officer Elected President of Mid-Atlantic Association of Women in Law Enforcement
The Annapolis Police Department has announced that Officer Amanda Benson has been elected President of the Mid-Atlantic Association of Women in Law Enforcement (MAAWLE). This announcement follows the department’s participation in the organization’s annual conference in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
The department was well-represented at the event by Det. Cpl. Paschall, Cpl. Smikle, and Officers Benson, Goodman, T. Williams, and Logan. Attendees took part in professional development sessions covering case studies, defensive tactics, and mental health.
In a statement, the Annapolis Police Department shared, “Officer Benson’s exemplary leadership, professionalism, and steadfast commitment to advancing the mission of MAAWLE have earned her this well-deserved recognition.
