Ward 2 Aldermanic Candidate Ken Vincent Joins Residents, Leaders for Discussions on Key Issues During Old 4th Ward Community Events
Ward 2 Aldermanic candidate Ken Vincent spent the day connecting with dozens of residents during several community events held within the Old Fourth Ward.
Earlier in the day, Mr. Vincent held an intimate discussion with individuals and families who spoke candidly about their concerns and the issues that matter most to them. Accompanied by his wife, Kerri Vincent, he listened attentively as residents shared their thoughts on topics including housing affordability and stability, infrastructure, and the accessibility of government services.
Later, the Vincents attended a neighborhood fall bazaar, where additional meaningful conversations took place on public safety, integrity in governance, and the importance of trust between elected officials and the communities they serve.
Earlier this month, Vincent earned a joint endorsement from The Capitol Accountability Project (CAP) and the Coalition for Atonement and Repair (CAR) for the Ward 2 seat. The endorsement, announced in a press release, highlights his commitment to integrity, accountability, and the long-term well-being of the community.
Ahsun Powell, President of CAP and Strategist and Facilitator for CAR, stated:
“This endorsement is a declaration of faith in action. Kenneth Vincent’s commitment to truth, accountability, and community repair speaks directly to the heart of our mission to build an Annapolis where justice isn’t promised, it’s practiced. He has shown not just words, but courage — the kind of integrity and backbone our community has waited far too long to see in leadership. CAP stands firmly with those who stand with the people.”
Argo Dueñas, Co-Founder of CAR and a descendant of the Old Fourth Ward, who stood with Vincent during the recent Germantown-Homewood Community Association forum, added:
“As a daughter of the Old Fourth Ward, I know what it means to see your neighborhood torn down and your family’s roots scattered. The decimation of our businesses, our economic base, and the generational wealth and political power that once anchored our community still echoes today. That pain doesn’t fade, but it teaches you who really stands with the people. Kenneth Vincent has shown the kind of courage and compassion our community has prayed for — leadership that will face the truth, fight for fairness, and help restore what was taken. I’m proud to stand with him because he stands with us.”
Mr. and Mrs. Vincent later attended a Halloween party and pumpkin patch, where more important conversations were had, on topics including integrity in governance and public safety.
