Kingdom Kare Hosts Job Readiness Workshop
Kingdom Kare recently hosted a Job Readiness Workshop in their new computer lab. This workshop is the first of many planned by the organization, which intends to offer computer classes in partnership with the ManUp program to provide our community with essential skills, according to information published by Dr. Barbara Palmer.
The ManUp initiative aims to reduce violence and foster safer communities by mediating conflicts, building trust with high-risk individuals, and connecting community members to vital resources such as workforce development, housing, education, and health services. The program also supports families affected by violence by helping them stabilize and heal, while also creating safe spaces and opportunities for youth and adults to thrive outside cycles of conflict.
By combining violence interruption with job readiness and digital literacy opportunities, Kingdom Kare is strengthening both violence prevention and pathways to success for individuals in the community.
