Diesha Contee, Democratic Aldermanic Candidate for Ward 6 & Senator Shaneka Henson Team Up for Day of Door Knocking

Ward 6 democratic aldermanic primary winner Diesha Contee  and Senator Shaneka Henson today engaged with neighbors, and discussed community issues with residents while door knocking in Ward 6.

Senator Henson shared on Facebook, "So glad to kick off this morning launching volunteers for the Annapolis Democratic City Council and Mayoral election alongside my District 30 colleagues! Followed it up by knocking doors with Ward 6 candidate, Diesha Contee. So proud of the leaders ready to serve Annapolis with heart and dedication! 💙 #TeamAnnapolis #Ward6 #Annapolis."

Diesha Contee is known for being a community-driven grassroots leader who prioritizes service, connection, and fostering meaningful change. Her experience in actively listening to residents' ideas and collaborating with diverse local businesses and organizations would be a valuable asset to the city council. Ms. Conti and Republican George Gallagher will compete in the upcoming general election on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. All candidates who prevail in the general election will be sworn into office on Monday, December 1, 2025.  Mr. Gallagher's campaign has focused on balancing the budget, enhancing public safety, and lowering property taxes.

The day was another reminder of the importance of building relationships and celebrating community spirit for both Senator Henson and Candidate Contee. As Senator Henson noted, "There’s nothing more energizing than knocking doors and seeing the heart of Annapolis in every conversation." RelatedWard 6 Democratic Aldermanic Primary Winner Diesha Contee to Face Republican Challenger George Gallagher in November 4 General Election
