Glen Burnie Barrack-State Trooper Finds Several Pounds of Pot, Handgun During Traffic Stop in Baltimore County

A Maryland State Police trooper assigned to the Glen Burnie barrack recent located several pounds of marijuana and a handgun after pulling over a vehicle in the Baltimore County area.

On January 21, at approximately 1:09am, the trooper conducted a traffic stop in the area of W/B 695 and Hollins Ferry Rd on a gray Infiniti QX50 for expired registration plates and displaying tags issued to another vehicle. While speaking to the driver, the driver fled the scene, however was quickly apprehended. 

A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted which yielded a loaded Canik TP9 Elite SC 9mm handgun. Also located in the vehicle was 1,899.3 grams of marijuana and $1,765 in US currency.
