Anne Arundel Police Makes CDS & Handgun Violation Arrest in Glen Burnie, Officials Say


Anne Arundel Police officers recently made a cds & handgun violation arrest during a traffic stop in Glen Burnie. 

On March 2, 2020 at approximately 11:25 a.m., officers were patrolling in the area of Ritchie highway and Ordnance Road.  Officers conducted a traffic stop on a gray 2004 Acura at which time the driver exited the vehicle and began walking away. Officers detained the driver and discovered CDS present within the vehicle.  A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of the following:
 
One loaded Glock 21 .45 caliber handgun
Two Ziplock bags of suspected CDS marijuana (approx. 82.5 grams / approx. street value $1650.00)
One pill bottle with seven Oxycodone Hydrochloride pills (approx. street value $175.00)
One pint of Promethazine With Codeine (approximate street value $600.00)
$2022.00 U.S. currency 

The driver was arrested and transported to Northern District for processing.
