Annapolis Teen Charged as an Adult in Recent Armed Robbery Incident


Officials with the Annapolis Police Department today announced they have charged a 16 year old suspect as an adult following a recent armed robbery. 

On 02/24 at 10:30pm, a 17 year old male victim was walking in the area of Summerfield Road when he was confronted by two male suspects armed with handguns.

 They demanded money and took money from the victim. The suspects fled the area on foot and the victim waited about 20 minutes to report the robbery. Initially, officers searched the area, but did not locate the suspects. 

Through subsequent investigation, detectives identified one of the suspects as Davis Escobar, 16, of Annapolis. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant and on 02/28 Escobar was located and arrested. 
He was charged with armed robbery and seven other related charges. 

Escobar is being held without bond at the Jennifer Road Detention Center.
