County Police Charge 16 Year Old Brother-Sister Suspects in Connection with Armed Robbery in Brooklyn Park

The Anne Arundel County Police Department has charged two sixteen year old suspects, both siblings, in connection with a recent Brooklyn Park area armed robbery.

Department officials said on November 30, 2022, at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers responded for a report of a robbery of a citizen that just occurred in the 300 block of Church Street. According to a press release, the victim indicated that as he was walking toward his residence he was approached by what he believed to be two juvenile males, one of whom was pointing a gun at him. "The suspects demanded the victim's property and upon receipt of the property, both suspects fled on foot," the release said.

On December 1, 2022, detectives conducted a follow-up investigation in reference to the citizen robbery. Through investigative means and with the assistance of School Resource Officers, detectives positively identified one of the suspects as a 16-year-old male juvenile from Brooklyn.  Detectives were able to make a connection between the male juvenile and the second suspect, his sister, a 16-year-old female juvenile.

The 16-year-old female was arrested in a robbery of an area grocery store where a handgun was recovered on November 30, 2022, at approximately 11:30 p.m. Detectives reportedly executed a search warrant on the residence where both juveniles reside and recovered evidence related to the robbery of the citizen.

Both juveniles have been charged accordingly.
