Woman Charged, Held Without Bond After Stabbing of Man in Severn

The woman charged in connection with the stabbing of a man in Severn has been denied bail during an Annapolis District Court hearing.

According to the Anne Arundel County Police Department, officers responded for an assault at a residence in the 1800 block of Robin Court on July 24, 2022, at approximately 4:15 a.m.  In a press release, department officials said after arriving, officers located a 28-year-old male victim with an apparent sharp-forced wound to his torso.  The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injury. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injury, police said.  

The suspect was identified by authorities as 35 year old Shatoyia Carlease Taylor (pictured below).  Taylor has been charged with several crimes, including attempted first degree murder and reckless endangerment, court records show. On July 25, 2022, Taylor was ordered to be held without bond at the Jennifer Road Detention Center.
