Tragic Passing of Couple and Local Business Owners Sends Shockwaves Through Pasadena Community

The Pasadena community have been impacted after a beloved local couple and business owners were found dead in their home Monday afternoon in a shocking incident that has left neighbors and patrons mourning, with charging documents suggesting a "verbal dispute over money" may have precipitated the incident.

On November 16, 2025, at approximately 1:55 p.m., Eastern District officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 1700 block of Twickenham Road in Pasadena. Upon arrival, officers located two individuals, an adult male and an adult female, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Personnel from the Anne Arundel County Fire Department arrived on scene and pronounced the victims, identified as 54-year-old Jeanna Hayes of Pasadena, Maryland, and 56-year-old William Hayes of Pasadena, Maryland, deceased. A social media profile indicates the couple had been married since July 28, 2001. 

Homicide Unit detectives arrived on the scene and assumed responsibility for the investigation. Detectives developed a possible suspect and suspect vehicle based on information received on the 911 call and through additional investigative means. At approximately 6:27 p.m., with assistance from the Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) program and coordination with the Real Time Information Center (RTIC), officers located the suspect vehicle and attempted a traffic stop in the area of Severn Road and Ridge Road at which point the suspect vehicle fled. Officers engaged in a pursuit of the vehicle, which ended in the area of Quarterfield Road off of I-97 in Severn. 

The suspect, 61-year-old Anthony Louis Reyes, who remains innocent until proven guilty, of Nottingham, Maryland, was taken into custody and charged with First- and Second-Degree Murder and related charges. Preliminary information indicates this was an isolated, targeted incident, and the suspect was known to the victims, according to the police department. 

According to an online profile, C.W. Hayes Home Improvement has served the Pasadena area since 1982.
