Police Respond to Reported “Possible Shots Fired” at Annapolis Mall; No Gunfire Confirmed

This afternoon, at approximately 4:00pm, Anne Arundel County Police responded to a reported disturbance at the Annapolis Mall, which included reports of possible shots fired. An investigation by officers determined that no shots were fired. 

The incident appears to have been an altercation between two known individuals who had left the mall before police arrived, according to authorities. Police stated that credible information and witness accounts support this conclusion. 

As officers continued their investigation, mall patrons may have noticed an increased police presence. The department did not release additional details about the individuals involved or the cause of the altercation, as the investigation is ongoing.
