Delegate Andrew Pruski Reappointed to Lead Anne Arundel County House Delegation

The Anne Arundel County House Delegation has reelected Delegate Andrew Pruski (District 33A) as Chair for the upcoming Maryland General Assembly session, with Delegate Gary Simmons (District 12B) also reelected as Vice Chair. This unanimous decision occurred during the Delegation's annual election on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 6 p.m.

Delegate Pruski previously chaired the body during last year's General Assembly session, where he led several key legislative initiatives on behalf of the Delegation. A press release said his notable accomplishments included the creation of the Crownsville Hospital Memorial Park Advisory Committee, an increase in scholarship funding for Anne Arundel County students, and the launch of a pilot program to improve aquifer management in the county.

According to the press release, Delegate Pruski has concentrated on legislation designed to protect consumers by lowering costs and preventing predatory practices, expanding resources for veterans, and enhancing working conditions for first responders. Beyond his legislative work, he is an educator and a vocal advocate for the Blueprint for Maryland's Future, supporting efforts to strengthen schools, teachers, and communities across the state.
