Child Suffers Possible Life Threatening Injury After Being Struck by Vehicle on Bens Drive

A child was transported by helicopter to an area hospital today after sustaining potentially life threatening injuries after being struck by a car on Bens Drive in Annapolis. 

At approximately 3:51 PM this afternoon, emergency responders were dispatched to Bens Drive in Annapolis for a reported traffic collision involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, a ten-year-old child was found with potentially life-threatening, critical injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle.

The child was subsequently airlifted and transported to a local trauma center. Further details regarding the ongoing police investigation were not immediately available.
