Glen Burnie Man Faces Child Porn Related Allegations Following Anne Arundel County Police Investigation


A Glen Burnie man is facing allegations related to child pornography following an investigation conducted by the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

In September 2024, authorities initiated an investigation after receiving a report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, a police department statement said. 

According to the Anne Arundel County Police Department, their investigators were identify a suspect and pinpoint his address. On November 7, 2024, detectives executed a search and seizure warrant at the suspect's home, located in the 100 block of Warwickshire Lane in Glen Burnie. Joshua Ian Paul Alford, the identified suspect, was present at the residence at the time of the search, and multiple digital devices were seized for comprehensive forensic analysis, the police department indicates. 

Department officials said that following the analysis, detectives confirmed that the accounts used to upload child pornography were linked to Mr. Alford. Consequently, county police department officials say, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for 32-year-old Joshua Ian Paul Alford, charging him with 25 counts of possession of child pornography. 

On June 18, 2025, the Anne Arundel County Sheriff's Office took Joshua Alford into custody. Alford was released by a district court commissioner, according to electronic case records.
