County Police Department Investigate Weekend Shooting of Innocent Bystander Near Arundel Mills Mall

The Anne Arundel County Police Department is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting of an innocent bystander near the Arundel Mills Mall over the weekend. 
On Friday, June 20, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., officers responded to the area of Arundel Mills Boulevard and Arundel Way in Hanover for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers located several vehicles that had been struck by gunfire. One individual, a 21-year-old female, sustained a non-life-threatening injury to her upper body. She was transported to an area hospital for treatment. 

The preliminary investigation reveals that gunfire was exchanged between two vehicles, with the uninvolved victim caught in the crossfire. The involved vehicles fled the area prior to police arrival.
